Site Visit to Carsi station of Uskudar – Umraniye – Cekmekoy Metro Line

Prota representatives visited Carsi station of Istanbul Uskudar – Umraniye – Cekmekoy Metro Line. Entire design services of the smart metro project were performed by Prota. 

When it is ready to operate, the new line seeks to decrease traffic in the Anatolian side of Istanbul and will shorten the travel time between Uskudar and Cekmekoy to only 27 minutes.

The project is also set to break grounds. Driverless metro vehicles will be used for the first time in Turkey. Platform screen doors at stations which is a relatively new addition to metro systems will also be used for the first time with this project.
